Re: Insalling washdown pump

I haven’t installed one yet on my toon. But in the research I’d did it’s not very hard. Since I’m in saltwater I was going to install a freshwater tank on the toon. Then get a pump connect the pump to the tank and add a short hose to the pump. I check different sites for pumps west marine has them. ...

Re: Dumb question of the day

No and I would not buy a used motor that wasn’t on a boat so I could test it under power on the water. My reason is this I purchased a boat and motor. However I didn’t test it out in the water. Just connected it to,muffs and ran it all, worked great. I thought, made the purchase was happy had a boat....

Re: Reasons not to winter my boat in an uncovered wet slip?

Use to be able to leave mine in a wet slip till the Mariana closed and the city took it over. But when I did I would take it out at least once a month and clean the toons. Leaving it in the water they would get really nasty from algae and stuff. I do miss the slip was really nice to have.

Re: Trolling motor update

Yep you can do that. The trolling motor has auto deploy so all you have to do is make sure the motor is plugged in and turned on. Then once in the water using your remote you deploy the trolling motor set the speed and turn it all by remote and drive it to the dock. It’s realy neat. Only thing is yo...

Riplipper I have a 24 foot excursion with 115 Yamaha. I purchased the 80 pound thrust 24 volt Minnkota ulterra with I pilot. I think it is worth the cost for me that is. Auto deploy n stow with me having one artificial leg and bad knee on the other leg. It’s great. Not to mention the anchor mode and...

Painting toons

My pontoon is used in saltwater a few years ago I hade the toons done in anti fooling paint. Now I would like to paint my toons above the water line also but with just a regular paint. My thinking is it will be easier to clean and help in keeping the salt off the toons by being able to wash them dow...

While finally got my new Minnkota trolling motor mounted and all set up. Man is it a great investment was a little costly but I think while worth it. Re: How to keep cats off my toon

Cover being secure is not the problem. My cover snaps along the sides. Problem is the area around the Bimini poles and under the half front cage have small openings. That’s where it is getting in under the cover from. It’s juts got to go one way or the other. Not going to have it destroying my seats.
