Re: Some basic newbie questions

As a long time tooner IMO a 22ft, 3 log with minimum 150hp for all around use. It will cruise as a slow or medium speed yet get you where you want to go at good speed. I totally agree about buying local when possible for after sale service

Can't believe there's not someone out there with a pontoon that has a permanent Livewell pump mounted out of the water
No one answered because it is a stupid question. A pump MOUNTED out of the water won't work

Re: OnBoard Charger

I don't run a trolling motor but use 2 batteries. 1 for accessories and the other for motor. Mine is mounted in the changing room encloser which is also where my batteries are. I use a timer to only run for an hour a day. this keeps thing charged without worry of overcharging as my last onboard char...

Foghorn is a snowflake liberal who can't find his safe space to cry about having to read a word he finds offensive. He has been invited to leave before but no he hangs around to be offended.

Re: Cleats on a pontoon

Mine didn't have cleats but on each side mounted to the floor outside the fence were offset U bolts, 2 per side. I have rope on each one to tie up to docks or other boats.

Re: YAMAHA 115 FOUR STROKE VS. EVINRUDE ETEC 115

As owner of a 90 E Tec I can say they preform quite well. However owner maintenance sucks. Indexing plugs for one. You may buy a plug that won't index so you buy another and no refund on unusable plug or plugs. Changing water impeller is a major pain as shift lever connects under power head and almo...

Re: Who is ready to go watch the fun

Being retired we leave the holidays to the fools & drunks. When we lived on the lake we enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching the tourist pass by all clean, white, and feeling good on, Friday and watch them leave on Sunday or Monday, dirty, sunburned and hungover. Then we loaded up and hit the qu...

Re: Patch over or get welded

I had cracks on my logs and also on the keels. Jb didn't work for keel leaks so for years I had a stainless screw with a rubber washer to drain my log. I finally said enough and took it to a good welder I know. He laid a heavy bead on keel for protection, found 2 leaks I didn't know about. IMO take ...
