Re: Thoughts on Merc 60 4 stroke Command Thrust

No experience with the Yamaha. I bought a new 18 bass buggy with a Mercury 60ct. No issues, not many hours yet. runs fine. Top speed so far is 22.9 with a light load. I think my biggest mistake in the beginning was filling the tank with too much gas. Huge tank for a 60hp. I'm not on the lake every w...

Re: How to keep pontoon seats looking brand new?????

I alternate between 303 and starbrite. Wipe pretty much with something before every trip, part of my "day before make ready". Probably the biggest consideration is keep the sun off while not in use.

Just don't let strangulate between now and then, then it becomes an emergency surgery whether you want it or not. You'll know when it happens.

Re: OUCH!

yeah, surgery is a piece of cake,, recovery is a pain, they said I would get a little sleepy then the next thing you know they are calling your name to wake you up and it's over. Not my first one, had a couple others done and I work fairly closely with most of the surgery people from time to time.. ...

OUCH!

No more doing stuff for a while, had a hernia repair. Kinda glad I had it done in the dead of winter, I'll be ready to go when the weather gets a little nicer. Hurts more than the other side I had done. Oh well, I do have a gun I need to work on.

Re: So, in the interest of..

Yep, thanks for the replies. I do know about pure gas, just not many options here. Also, I think that if I fill the tank it would be in there for YEARS. I'm gonna give the "few gallons at a time" a try. I think I have the moisture issue addressed.

Re: OCTANE

Wanting to know the same. I know a little basics, low octane = blown engine. A little higher octane is ok but just how high is too high? Also see alot of what seems like legit reference to gas losing octane like a coke loses fiz. Concerns me a little, I just don't use gas fast enough. So using like ...

Re: So, in the interest of..

ok,,getting "most" out was my goal, I know in practicality, I can't get it all, then I will just put in less gas from now on. The thing just doesn't burn much and has a huge tank. I don't have good pure gas options in my area. Wish I did. I have either an 86 octane for like $2.50 or a 96 octane for ...

So, in the interest of..

Contributing to the off season life of the forum...I'll ask a question. I want to try and get as much gas out my tank as I can. Whats in the tank is getting old, I don't trust it. So I can just disconnect at the engine, clamp on an extension, stick it in a gas can and pump the bulb. Then it's gonna ...

Re: what happen

Im a new guy, on here less than 2 years. Seems that's all I've noticed is maybe 2-3 threads every few days at the most. When I joined up, the forum did appear to be kinda slow but a nice place with a strong core. My other forum time is on TFF, now that's a busy place but I guess it would be, almost ...
