Re: Torqueedo 2.0 RS Cruise electric motor

I'm not familiar with the torqueedo mounting. They do have some impressive products though! Do you have any adjustment in the mount, or is it already as low as it can be set? A manual jack plate would be an inexpensive fix ,but if its a brand new boat call your dealership . It's clearly not rigged ...

Re: Manual anchoring set ups for bow of pontoons

We use our fluke that is rigged with chain "backwards" with a couple zip ties, so it it gets hooked on timber , i can break zip ties and it flips up and frees itself...so far so good. My issue is with coves that are 100ft x 100ft and 80 ft deep, i cant let enough chain, rope out to set it, so we tie ...

Re: Bansil and MamaTurtle create a getaway cruiser

Not much share :( . . . . . . EXCEPT THAT STRIKHEDONIA HAS A NEW HOME!!! We closed a few hours ago on some property at lake and a slip. Slip is uncovered but that is okay for now, hope to fix trailer so I can bring her home for a couple quick mods and a pressure washing. New slip is 10 min and 1 cov...

Re: Dumb question of the day

Borrow a compression tester from vato zone, watch youtube videos and do that BEFORE running it while it is cold. 2stroke is different than 4stroke. Biggest thing is making sure they are all close to same. Bring a can of cylinder fogging spray incase numbers are low if they let you fog cylinder that ...

Re: Marine Parts Warehouse ?

Over all websites I have been, 1 thing is true Rebuilt outboards do not last UNLESS you do it yourself and follow all clearances and torque values etc. I would spend moar and buy new with a 10 or what ever year warranty...or rebuild myself Go onto "the hull truth dot com" and google rebuilds as well...

X2

I did it but!! I did compression check and a glutton for punishment, needed carbs rebuilt, gaskets and reed valves...runs great now...BUT...I did the work myself.

Can you rebuild an engine? Is time free? Run away and dont do it...a 30 gallon barrel and water is cheap

Re: VHF Radio antennea mounting

Should have pics on my build, i mounted on back of hardtop BUT it is a pita because of covered slip, the whole up/down thing. Slip we are getting w/land will have open slip so not an issue. Keep this in mind...vhf is line of site, so the curveture s/p of the earth is limiting factor ie offshore it i...

Re: New Pontoon Boat Owner-has some foolish questions

1st welcome You need a game plan , write down what you want the boat to do or be for you You will not be buying a new wiring harness either, you can replace all wires connectors etc seperately tho. Your boat is too old for a wire harness, actually most new boats dont have one because so many differen...
