Re: Should I repower ???

My son has a tri-toon with a 150 FS Merc, and AFAIK, he doesn’t have any such problem. When I had a new prop put on my 60 FS Merc, I had a terrible problem with it (cavitate over 2000 rpm), because the marina didn’t put the nylon ring on the front of the prop when they installed it. Took it back, th...

Re: Thinking about two tops

I’ve had twin tops both with and without being zipped together. My first (which I changed over to a second toon) was a second top that I added to a toon that came with just one bimini, and didn’t connect to the other top at all. I installed the second top so that it (the front top) overlapped the re...

Any word on how well the vinyl wraps hold up on Florida Gulf of Mexico salt, sun, etc.? Have been thinking about wrapping my Bennington.
This one’s over three years old now:

Re: What have you done to make your boat special?

I found the pump we use at Northern Tool for $89. Self priming, in line, 40 foot head max, 340GPH. It pulls 15 amps, but it won’t need to be turned on for very long at a time. I figure about $120 by the time I get it mounted, wired and plumbed. I don’t think that’ll give you the pressure that you’r...

Re: CHANGING ROOM ENCLOSURES REPLACEMENT MATERIAL

Since no one else has mentioned it; you can get a new fabric enclosure online from any of the boating supply houses.

I got one when I bought my used ‘toon over a year ago, complete with mounting hardware.

Re: New Sylvan leans 2" to starboard at rest & underway

Our Bentley sits deeper on the port side, as the fuel tank is located at that rear corner of the boat. I was a bit concerned at first about the possibility of water in the toon (bought it used) then realized that the bottom paint on the port toon goes up a bit higher, so it’s always been like that....

Re: Gas Shock for "changing room"

The access is the same on mine as yours, TWB.

I have to lift a bit to get mine up, but once up it stays there just fine.

Re: Boat Title

I'm not an attorney, and I didn't' stay at a Holiday Inn last night, but I think you'll be fine. With that being said, I'd spend the few bucks and get it done correctly, but that's just because I'm a bit OCD and it would bother me. If you go to the local office, they'd probably re-issue it for free...

Re: Gas Shock for "changing room"

I measured the closed/open distance between the mounts (they were still there, shocks were gone) on my ‘05 Bentley 240 fish, went to the local auto parts store, and grabbed some that seemed about right length wise. They work fine, but I could use a stronger one on the bigger part, so thanks for the ...
