Re: scissor trailer

Maybe so.... Maybe I should look at another trailer. Or converting it to a tiller steer one for the local lake here. All and all the other boat still is costing me less than fabricating some extra cross members etc so my 19" pontoon will have the same floor space... Even if I have to piece the thing...

Re: scissor trailer

I'm redoing a pontoon. Either the one I have on my bunk style trailer or this one I found. The thought is I can do more with this one I found and leave mine intact and sell it (except for my motor) so that someone else can use it. Then I get the advantages of larger pontoons and more deck space on t...

scissor trailer

Hey is there anyone in or around Cincinnati that would help me get a boat. I have a bunk style trailer. With my boat on it. So I either have to set it off and go get this one or find a scissor style to borrow/rent. Hoping someone around here will help me move it so I can rebuild it instead of my oth...

Re: FREE BOAT TIME!

Hey guys.

Been a busy year. I haven't started the rebuild... life happens. Pontoonstuff is still awesome. They sent me a few pics the other day of some new stuff. I'm going to be starting soon. Can't wait really.

Re: 1988 Harris Pontoon Rebuild --- Pontoonstuff.com

Hi guys. Been a long time... Been so busy I haven't done anything to the boat...plus it has been cold. So anyway I just got back from looking at another pontoon. Newer boat in worse condition. It is a 1996 Mid American Fun Island. 24 foot. It doesn't have a trailer. But two motors. Neither running. ...

Re: 1988 Harris Pontoon Rebuild --- Pontoonstuff.com

See I spoke too soon. Still in busy mode. Daughters car needed a new convertible top done. I'm convinced the pontoon rebuild would have been easier....

Still trying to get setup so I can start.... I'll take a bunch of video/pics when I start...

Re: 1988 Harris Pontoon Rebuild --- Pontoonstuff.com

So I have been super busy at work. But I have managed a couple trips to the lake near my house. Unfortunatly there is a 10 HP limit. So it is trolling motor only there. So Anyway. I took my son out one evening and we found some shade and did a little cat fishing. Only caught one but had a good time....

Looks like someone painted or truck bed liner'd the toons. That will be a pain. You may be best to get off what you can and go back over it with another coating.

Looking forward to your build

Re: Another trailer bunk question - attachment

I'm still working on mine. I need to get mine boat off the trailer or lift one side at a time and get mine replaced. I intended to a few weeks ago but I ran into a snag at the marina. Some of my boards I got from PS were to long. To be fair the reason was because I didn't get custom lengths but just...

Re: Learning about my boat and motor.

Yeah that push to choke thing got me. And I grew up on one that did that. It had just been years. So the first few times I started it I couldn't believe how hard it was. Now that I know how it starts pretty easy. Free 130....yeah what would be the harm if you have room. Then use this toon until you ...

I guess noone has. I personally haven't and really can't tell from the pics.

Hmmm did you try looking up the part by the numbers on it. You might find an exploded view online that may help

Re: New (to me) toon launched!

The two posts is what was originally installed on mine. I got a set of the guides from PS. I made the mistake of mounting at the same spot and rearward of that. When I went to load the rearward ones did ok but were to far underwater. The ones in the original spot were to far down too and my toon ran...
