Re: Hydraulic steering help needed

Is the steering wheel taper pretty much universal? I don't know that answer. I THINK it is. Mine was old helm off/new helm on... same wheel so no issue. The helm shaft seems pretty standard. I hear you on the anxiousness. I look at mine hanging in the lift every day. We've had a day here & th...

Re: Hydraulic steering help needed

This video gave me a good understanding. The guy is boring and talks too damn much  , and it's not a pontoon, but it will really help with learning the process.

Re: Hydraulic steering help needed

My current cable is twice as long as it needs to be and it is hard to steer because of all the bends in it. When I went through the problem and replacement of mine, the two techs I spoke with were adamant that the cable needed to be no more than 1' longer than needed. I think you would be fine with...

Re: Great Weekend

Great pics. Ain't it great that we live where we can boat all year round !! Know it gets cooler in the panhandle as lived around Carrabelle for bit but still beats the latitudes further north. Life is too short to be inside looking at snow and cold when you could be chasing dolphins and drinking a ...

Re: forum administrators

okay, the problem has to have something to do with the pictures themself. I grabbed an old pic of one of my cars and it loaded fine... then tried to post a pic I took of my boat the other day, and it won't post... and it is actually smaller than the pic of my car that did post. Pic that didn't post...

Yeah, that’s the wife’s fetish, got to go see the dolphins, she loves it, I putt around with a cold beer following the pods and she shoots the pics LOL.. My wife is the same way. Toon or jetski -- destination/ time be damned. We're gonna follow that pod for as long as we can! Me? I open another bee...

Re: What does Average dry weight mean?

I've heard that term before also and so today I Googled it. Found a thread on HullTruth talking about it. As many different interpretations of the meaning as there were responses. It seems to mean different things depending on what company/ boat/ captain you talk to. The general consensus seemed to ...

Just reading old posts and curious if this restoration was done and what the result was.
Yeah, me too. Considering starting mine and always looking to learn what works and what to watch out for.

Re: Exploring

What fun! Discovered a couple of marinas we didn’t know about. Ate lunch at a restaurant on the lake. Saw a bald eagle looking for something to eat. I’m not sure I ever stopped smiling. Les I have some cousins who live on Lake Martin. They went for a couple of years to vacation... loved it so much ...
