Re: Cupped prop

I am thinking you may need larger diameter and more pitch with a 150. Also, finding the "sweet" spot on a pontoon is difficult. Been boating for over 50 years and this is my first pontoon. Tritoon actually. I can play with my trim all I want and it makes little difference in speed or rpms. Does move...

Re: Pontoon or deck boat

I have taken my tritoon quite a few times down the waterways in south fl. Big boats with big wakes are seldom an issue. Once in a while A huge wake will come over the front of deck but really no big deal. I would not take it out of any of those inlets down there. I will be doing it again this weeken...

Re: Advice needed

It amazes me that some people have so little to do, that they need to shove their misery onto others.
I would go to the board and ask for forgiveness. Hopefully they are not the assholes that one of your neighbors appears to be.

Re: Add a battery

I've seen the Weego jump box in action and they seem to work great. Even though I have two batteries, I just ordered one for my boat just in case somebody on the water needs a jump. The Weego is about the size of an iPhone (but thicker), so it's really easy to store. And right now they're less than...

Re: Have you spent a night on your Pontoon Boat...

Awesome set ups guys.... my daughter and I just did a campout this weekend on ours. No tent and just used the seats and lounger in back for me. Had great food but did wake up in the mourning a bit wet from the dew. Did not worry about bugs, good ways from shore and a little breeze kept them away. Ne...

That's just a flesh wound....Sucks on a new boat, but give it ten years and that will be the least of your "awe shits"

Re: CAPTAINS HELM SEAT

I think that is dependent on your front to rear adjustment and how far your base is away from the rail.
I have a pretty big seat but when adjusted all the way back my back hits the fence. Not so when in forward position.

Re: Bimini top

Yes, a black top will absorb heat and dissipate the heat below....but as mentioned above, most toon biminis are high up enough where you don't feel it. My old boat, a non toon with a black T top, on a hot day you could feel the heat if you were just sitting still. However I have never felt it under ...

Re: Finally mounted

OK, I just have to ask.....
You are going from a 9.9 to a 115? What size boat? What is it rated for? And how did it come to have just a 9.9 on it in the first place??

Curiosity is killing me on this one.

Re: Trolling Motor Battery Placement

As mentioned above, there are a million boats out there charging batteries in close quarters. Leaving the door open is more than adequate. Its actually way more than most bass fisherman do.

Re: Old gas

I suggested the E10 for the first tank, not sure if I am correct but my understanding is E10 will absorb water that could be in the tank since its been sitting so long and help burn it out as he runs the boat that first day. After that, yes, E free.. that is what I use unless somewhere where I cant ...
