Re: Installing Rear facing Speakers

Have you considered a blue tooth speaker? Can you link one up to your boat stereo or phone and let it float near you where you swim? That gives you control for the volume while you are in the water and it should disturb others less and use less battery power. You should be able to hear it underwater...

Re: 1st Boat Questions

I'm still looking for the boat. I don't live very close to a lake right now. I plan to trailer it to/from the lake about 1 weekend/month + vacations. I'm not afraid of buying a project, but I've never owned a boat before and the learning curve is steep. I can do electrical, decking, flooring, and cl...

Re: New Sylvan leans 2" to starboard at rest & underway

Our Bentley sits deeper on the port side, as the fuel tank is located at that rear corner of the boat. I was a bit concerned at first about the possibility of water in the toon (bought it used) then realized that the bottom paint on the port toon goes up a bit higher, so it’s always been like that....

Floor Coverings

Once I find my boat, I will most likely start with the floor. Assuming it has marine plywood decking and cost being a factor what are my best options? My wife wants a floor that is comfortable on the feet and not too hot or slick. This is Texas, after all. I definitely want water proof. The way I se...

Re: How do you get your toon off the trailer?

I have access to a table lift that we use for batteries. I think the capacity is around 1000 lbs. Would this be enough to raise and lower the bow to the ground from a prop with the stern already sitting on the ground? Most of the weight is on the other end. Re: CHANGING ROOM ENCLOSURES REPLACEMENT MATERIAL

I'm a newb and still looking for my first boat, so take my advice with a grain of salt. Many of those pop up changing rooms look like shower curtains. Are they interchangeable?

Re: Bansil and MamaTurtle create a getaway cruiser

I love the simplicity of your boat. I'm tempted to do that and decide how to furnish it later. Mama wants a floating living room, so I guess I will have to appease her. I only need a couple of swivel chairs and a live well.

Re: What have you done to make your boat special?

I have another idea. In the bow, I'd like a bench on the starboard and 2 swivel fishing chairs on the port. Between the bench and the chairs, I'd like a table for playing cards, dominoes, eating, etc... I'd like to be able to lower the table to seat level and unfold the bench cushion to cover the ta...

Re: 1992 24f suntracker rebuild

I love the transformation. I could "I'd do" a few things, but that's personal preference. You should be proud. I like the dock also, especially the built in bumpers. I'll definitely steal a lot of ideas from this build.
