Ratchet Cover

I've never had a ratchet cover before, but just picked up a new Sun Tracker last week and bought the manufacturers cover. For the new models they have switched to a new cover manufacturer and are no longer made by Dowco. The cover has two zippered pockets to access the front cleats and two to access...

Havisu and Parker Strip AZ Info.

Anyone frequent Havasu or Parker Strip areas and can share the best places to launch, park, hotels, etc? Finally cooling down a bit so those areas are less crowded and bearable temp wise in fall and want to plan a trip in the couple of weeks.

Re: Electrical question

Personally I'd put the correct stator on. I wouldn't replace the voltage regulator unless you can confirm it's damaged. I wouldn't think running a lower amp stator would damage it but I'm not an electrical engineer. I sure wouldn't replace batteries. I'd put a full charge on both using an external c...

Re: New Boat Delivery Schedules

Sweet! Just in time to winterize it! Ha ha! I'm in Arizona. The southern lakes and Colorado river boating areas stay fairly mild all winter. Havasu was 103 today and daytime temps of 95 or so in Oct 75 in Nov, 65 in Dec, so not really a winterizing season. if you feel like boating or fishing you ca...

Re: New Boat Delivery Schedules

I can vouch for this. Our lake is much busier than normal and full of people that don't know what a no wake zone means or how to backup a trailer :biggrin2 Of course I am being patient because they are having fun and I was in their shoes 30 years ago. I think there are folks who take a couple lawn ...

Re: New Boat Delivery Schedules

I think as far as new pontoon availability is concerned it depends on the price bracket a bit. Out west you can find a few of the 60k-100k+ boats at the dealers. The more reasonably priced models in the 16-18-20 ft range are scarce no matter the manufacturer. I ordered a new Sun Tracker in July also...

Re: Looking for old-school door stops

I can't tell what they are made of but it looks like those would be pretty simple to fabricate yourself for almost nothing. If it's plastic, just buy a couple cheap thin cutting boards at the dollar store and cut them to size and drill the holes and screw countersinks

Re: Decently priced toon?

Now is a great time to sell used but not the best time to buy used. I'm not in your area but out west none of the dealers have any stock... new or used. What they do have is over priced because folks want a boat and it's simply a sellers market. I traded in a bass boat at a Sun Tracker dealer and go...
