Re: My engine dilemma...what would you do?

That's good news Billy... hope they get one to you soon.. congratulations.. I know it's still an expensive fix, but it's a lot cheaper than a whole new motor.

Re: A small victory won

congratulations on fixing your power trim... I am not mechanically inclined.. in fact my dad used to tell me that I could tear up a steel ball with a powder puff.... and believe me, as an adult I have "tried" to fix things around the house.. usually ends up costing me more because after I end up bre...

Re: Water Pump Impeller

My Yamaha 115 had had been sitting for 3-1/2 years before I bought it. After replacing the old impeller (which looked great and was not brittle) I had zero water flow from the proof hole - no pee stream. I pushed the little red tube on a can of WD40 up there, and shot some up in. After a couple of ...

Re: Water Pump Impeller

I have a yamana 75 four stroke.. basically same engine as your 90. Just had a new water impeller put in at the beginning of this season. Didn't take it to the dealership, but I had a boat mechanic do it for me.. just pulled my receipt so I wouldn't be telling you any lies... looks like the water imp...

Re: Will pontoon cleaner remove a name off the toons?

If it were me, I think I would just put the name on the fence.. but even then be careful.. if you take it to one of those do it yourself car washes, the water pressure from the nozzel can strip your boats name / decals right off the fencing. I use those DIY car washes a couple of times a year to cle...

Re: sun tracker party barge repair

I think you should try and convince the boss that it would be better to go with vinyl instead of carpet. My son has carpet on his boat and between people climbing on board out of the lake after swimming, and people on the muddy bank climbing on board, his carpet looks like hell. He is able to bring ...

Re: 2014 Bentley Encore 20 ft pontoon

I've never filled my tank up while on the water so I can't say. Only filled up while on a trailer. I'm wondering if the slight bobbing up and down might be causing the issue. But that does seem strange. I know people fill their tanks on the lake all the time. Hopefully someone will chime here with a...

Re: bigger motor

I've got a 75 on my 20 footer. When it was brand new and the water was smooth as glass, at wide open i got up to 24-25 miles per hour. Last time I checked the speed, probably a year or two ago I was getting 21-22 mph wide open.

Re: July 4th Weekend Plans

well I never take the boat out on the 4th. Too many drunks on the water and makes me nervous... I live in a small country community and for the past several years they throw a little 4th of july bash. It's on a golf course, they'll have a live contry band performing for 2 hours or so and then they p...
