Re: Who is watching fire works on the water on 4th?

Roland -- I would have guessed Northwood. I am from N Louisiana. Haynesville. Played Northwood many times. Lived out toward Blanchard for a while back in late 90's Fished Cross, Caddo, the river a lot. Went to Jefferson Tx by boat from Hwy 43 bridge above state park on Caddo Nice ride.... Spent a f...

Re: Who is watching fire works on the water on 4th?

Not me... my wife and I pretty much have a standing policy that we don't take to the lake on holidays.. way to many boats / jet ski's / etc etc.. not only a lot of lake traffic, but sadly way too many of them drunk... not to mention I sure as hell don't want to be out there at night with all that. ...

Re: Bunk glides

ok, thanks for that. do you think they would fit over the existing carpet or do I have to strip the bunks down to bare wood so they will fit? I don't know if they would fit over the existing carpet or not but I wouldn't put them over carpet. One of the benefits of getting rid of the carpet is that ...

Re: PSA pulled over by Fish police

Woah, that's bad! So, my toon has fishing seats upfront but behind the fence. Does this mean I could get a ticket for letting people sit there while underway? I hope not, I don't have enough seating otherwise! Just to be clear, by behind the fence do you mean "inside" the fence.. that's my assumpti...

Re: Bunk glides

Glad you asked as this is something I encountered 2 years ago.. Got ready to take the boat out one day and noticed that one of my bunks was rotted and the carpet, while still useable, wasn't in the best of shape.. since I had to replace my bunks I decided to go ahead and get rid of the carpet altoge...

Re: #! $@×÷=!! Fish police

Bansil... oh man that sucks... $2500 is steep.. are you sure that's what you will have to pay or is it one of those " fines up to 2500.00 " Either way I hate that... seems to me they could have just issued you a warning.. On the other hand, and no, I'm not saying what they did was alright, over the ...

Re: Update my existing boat or buy new/newer used?

Honestly, if your cost to repower and / or refurbish your existing boat is anywhere near what it would cost to buy a new rig, I'd go for the new rig.. same expense ( or near ), but everything new on the boat plus a warranty.

TIE KNOTS AT THE END OF YOUR FENDER LINE! DON'T ASK ME WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T..... :x :x :x reminds me of a time last year when I bought a new 15 lb mushroom anchor. tied a rope to it and gave her a toss out into the lake... only problem is I accidentally tied it to a piece of rope that was only...
