Re: In memeory of Carl ( Cwag) Wagner, a good friend here and fine man. Take him home John Larson.

I am saddened to hear the news of Carl's death. I never got to meet him face to face, but a few years back I bought a part from him for my son's boat. We spoke on the phone a couple of times during that transaction and then would send private messages back and forth after that. Even though our inter...

Re: Old gas

I would think you will probably be okay, but if you can't get it out I sure would fill the tank with fresh fuel, and put some stabilizer in the tank just before you fill the tank with fresh gas. Someone said to use E10 fuel... I would suggest if you can find a station that has ethanol free fuel, you...

Re: wheel Dollys

Thanks guys. It is a random axle, 21 foot boat. Roland, that looks like a good way to move it a distance. I'm looking to basically push it four feet to the side. I was looking at something like this. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=car+tire+dolly&i=tools&ref=nb_sb_noss Its pretty heavy to push it from t...

Re: wheel Dollys

ksks... don't think this is exactly what you're talking about, but I bought a dolly exactly like the one pictured below and I love it... If you're on concrete or asphalt or any fairly smooth surface, you can put your boat exactly where you want it... tight spaces no longer a problem. This is one of ...

Re: lake of ozarks

We have been to lake of the ozarks several times.. have to agree with Carl here.. If your thinking about visiting during the summer, you may want to avoid the weekends.. and me personally, rather than pulling my boat 5 hours or more each way, I think I would leave the toon at home and when you're up...

Re: Engine winterizing

I'm not a boat mechanic by any means but what luckydogs says makes sense.. start it, run it... and if possible do it several times thru out the season. I use a mechanic that services boat engines at his shop behind his home and he has told me on more than once that the worst thing you can do to your...

Re: And now I own a pontoon, and Hello

Luckydogs... first welcome to the forum and congrats on getting yourself a toon... Pontoon boats can offer the best of both worlds, depending on how you spend your money. You want performance, there's a toon out there with a 300 on the back end... you want to just take leisurely cruises and enjoy th...

Re: Advice on Crest Savannah Tritoon

man I hate to hear all you've had to go thru with this new boat. That's a shame. Might I suggest a couple of things. First, if and when you do buy another boat, I would certainly try to buy from a dealership in your area.. and whether or not they are in your area, check them out thru the bbb, review...

Re: Repowering

JP... I happen to own a 20 foot boat with a yamaha 75 horse 4 stroke on the back. It is sufficient to pull a tube with kids on the back. I can tell you that under perfect lake conditions, smooth water / no waves, my boat will run around 23 mph - that's tops at wide open throttle. And thats not when ...
