Re: lake of ozarks

We have been to lake of the ozarks several times.. have to agree with Carl here.. If your thinking about visiting during the summer, you may want to avoid the weekends.. and me personally, rather than pulling my boat 5 hours or more each way, I think I would leave the toon at home and when you're up...

Re: Engine winterizing

I'm not a boat mechanic by any means but what luckydogs says makes sense.. start it, run it... and if possible do it several times thru out the season. I use a mechanic that services boat engines at his shop behind his home and he has told me on more than once that the worst thing you can do to your...

Re: And now I own a pontoon, and Hello

Luckydogs... first welcome to the forum and congrats on getting yourself a toon... Pontoon boats can offer the best of both worlds, depending on how you spend your money. You want performance, there's a toon out there with a 300 on the back end... you want to just take leisurely cruises and enjoy th...

Re: Advice on Crest Savannah Tritoon

man I hate to hear all you've had to go thru with this new boat. That's a shame. Might I suggest a couple of things. First, if and when you do buy another boat, I would certainly try to buy from a dealership in your area.. and whether or not they are in your area, check them out thru the bbb, review...

Re: Repowering

JP... I happen to own a 20 foot boat with a yamaha 75 horse 4 stroke on the back. It is sufficient to pull a tube with kids on the back. I can tell you that under perfect lake conditions, smooth water / no waves, my boat will run around 23 mph - that's tops at wide open throttle. And thats not when ...

Re: Quote went from $125 to actual $275

well my opinion is you are only "obligated" to the price you were quoted.. however in fairness, I think it would be a good compromise to pay the dealer whatever his cost is. That way your dealer doesn't get burned and you don't take too much of an added hit on the cost... that's the resolution I wou...

Re: On board power washer

I have the same issue from time to time but never thought about an on board power washer... do you have vinyl or carpet. Ours is vinyl and I usually just end up towing it to a DIY carwash and power washing the heck out of the deck.

Re: Bimini Top position while trailering

I trailer mine the same way, on the short arm, with the actual bimini top folded up and zipped away in the boot. Been doing it this way since I bought the boat 9 or 10 years ago... no issues yet.

Re: Northwood Pontoon

Earlbuddy... don't know where you can get a brochure, but I googled "northwood pontoon boats" and found something that may help you track a brochure down. One link I went to said that Northwood boats were make by a company called "smokecxraft"... somewhere else I read they were once made by starcraf...
