Re: Forum update

I typically view the board on most forums through utilizing the "Active Topics" button. As of now it appears as if the button is still inactive when used. It just states that there were no results found.

Re: Peterbilt pontoon?

What's you mean wasted space... Just a few hot lot lizards would likely prove entertaining enough for most of us, but still left wondering as to weather it's equipped with a berth under the hood.

Re: Motor height

There is a chance that the bent fins could very well be contributing to the problem. Any disruption to a smooth transmission to the flow of water is suspect and those fins are disruptive. What is now likely happening is the fact that they are now directing a substantial flow of stationary water up i...

Re: Pontoon Boat Innovation
Thanks for all the insights! Appreciate the help. Do you guys have friends that don't own boats and don't want to? This might not be the right spot, but we are curious about why people are resistant or uninterested in boat ownership.
Just maybe ask or poll your employees...

Re: DC Chargers?

There appears to be maybe another alternative choice available to you since you're running a Yamaha 150 or larger. 150"s and up come with an auxiliary battery charging port installed. All a person needs is to do is acquire the wiring harness (http://www.partspak.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idprod...

Re: Check Out My Custom Hydrohoist Floating Tritoon Boat Lift!

That is a nice setup but I'd have concerns on vulnerability of the system in general. I also boat on a river and am well aware of the amount of debris that often flows with any kind of high water event. Most times I get lucky and it just flows through under the boat and on out the back and on down t...

Re: Changing motors. Questions...

Maybe a group purchase? I'm sure other members here me included also could utilize some marine plywood to replace their motor transoms also. So if this could work out it would cost out to just over three dollars a square foot at actual costs per sf. Four dollars a sf is probably fairer to the person...

Re: Help me solve this battery riddle....

I went to PS to see if any information was available about wiring up the unit. As I found nothing I'm assuming directions came with the top. Did they provide all the wire and components to install the top? Did the inline fuse you're attempting to utilize come with it as well? If not did they recomme...

Re: Bench drivers seat

I had a bench helm seat and actually found it quite comfortable. On cooler evenings often after the sun went down the Wife often shared it with me. This often as not let to romper room later elsewhere in the boat before we got back to port. Lot of pleasant memories made in that boat. 0524090749_00.j...

Re: NEED HELP with year of my pontoon !!!!!!!!!

I also rebuilt a older boat and came up against the insurance dilemma. Our agent just so happens to be a broker so we worked it out together to come to an acceptable declared value for our boat. He then submitted the information to see who would underwrite us and at what cost. It was pretty painless...

Re: Transom saver question

Here's one bullet I've dodged.. Yamaha recommends trailering in the upright running position unless there is inadequate road clearance to do so. On both the boats I've owned there has been plenty of clearance so why make a problem out of a issue that doesn't exist. From Yamaha, Do not use the tilt s...

Re: pontoon with 70 hp johnson

Does your boat have a tech? If so what are the numbers? Most of the issues you are describing also can reflect back to your prop. If you're attempting to run too tall of a prop performance may be marginal but acceptable under a light load and get progressively worse when loaded just as you're descri...
