Re: What size kicker motor?

You are really referring to unusual boating circumstances in this day and age. Yea we have plenty of boating hazards thats just one of the reasons I carry an anchor and a good length of rope. I can then set anchor and access my situation without the worry of being swept out further. I looked at the ...

Re: What size kicker motor?

After reading the "What to use of outboard quits" thread, I got thinking about a kicker motor. But what would be the minimum size I would need? I have 20 foot toon that I use on the Illinois River. I camp and fish about 12 miles downstream with conditions that range from below normal levels to near...

Re: lifting nacelles for pontoon boats

What is a water Glide? It's linked in the original post where I mentioned it to you. Did you look at the link "water glide"? And no I didn't go back and edit it in..... :lol3 You should like it they make all kind of promotional promises on their product.... But if they were even half as good as pro...

Re: lifting nacelles for pontoon boats

Now you're off describing a water glide more or less. It's another gimmick that's parted some people of their money, of which there's no shortage of. :lol3 . I'm aware of some trying it with frustrating success, but then again they didn't want to admit they'd been snookered... :rofl

Re: lifting nacelles for pontoon boats

You're pretty much describing a "deck boat". For the few among us here who have owned them were seeming glad to be rid of them and back into a pontoon again.

Re: Question regarding Forum Posting Structure

Personally I used to like it when way back when the "Active Topics" button used to work in the upper left myself. The "unanswered topics" seems to work fine but who uses that choice? All in all this is a wonderful forum but it could be a heck of a lot more user friendly if everything worked as desig...

Re: Texas Boat Sale Documentation

A boat is personal property and as such legal requirements vary from state to state. If purchasing a boat out of state you best make sure it comes with the proper paperwork that you'll need to get it registered in your state of residence or where the boat will reside. Case in point I live in WV but ...

Re: old gasoline

Motor started up about a month ago. But now no go. maybe could the starter. old jim I can't understand how to suggest a solution to such a vague description of a problem. How did everyone decide it was bad fuel? But then again why did the OP suggest it may be the starter? Is the motor failing to tu...

Re: Towing MPG Thread

In my PU what the tow haul mode does is change the shift points of the transmission. What it does is hold onto a gear a bit longer allowing the RPM's to climb a bit higher so when it shifts the engine is in a better torque range to supply the necessary power needed to obtain reasonable acceleration ...

Re: Bimini top issues

It appears to me that someone screwed up when measuring and drilling the railing for the bemini top. Instead of being straight across from one another one side is drilled a bit forward or backward from where it should of been. I'd loosen one of the side rail mounts and adjust it to where the bemini ...

I typically view the board on most forums through utilizing the "Active Topics" button. As of now it appears as if the button is still inactive when used. It just states that there were no results found.
