Re: Zebra Mussels?

Yea but by us, the northern lakes have the mussels and the southern lakes don't. my boat now sits on a southern lake now. So I wont have to deal with them....... hopefully lol. Just a matter of time. Bank on it. Too many people are working really hard to avoid having to decontaminate their boats, a...

Re: Zebra Mussels?

To bad there not good enough for fish to eat red ears love them, I forget which lake on the Colorado it is, but it has produced record setting RedEars the last couple of years. Probably BoatCop knows. out here in Big Bear Lake, they pressure spray down your boat if they think you have it. other loc...

Re: storage shed collapse

that sucks

take the cash from the Insurance and buy a new one, that is definitely fixable but it will take a while.

that second to last pick may require a full teardown to fix properly, but to half-ass it would be pretty easy, insurance would want it the right way.

Re: Trailering vs. Valet vs. Slip Rental

I was thinking of doing a #2 type at big bear lake out here, as slips are almost 2x as much. The pricing was about the same. The lake is 2+ hours from my place, taking the boat ads another hour since the best option is taking the long way.

Re: How to load/unload pontoon without getting wet?

you can try something like this http://xtend-a-hitchnorthwest.com/ we use the man system, one drives while someone else is in the van we use a fullsize van, like the ones in the link above, and the space between the tires and receiver is less than on regular truck. Have been thinking of something li...

Re: Experince mounting SI transducer on toon

I have an SI as well, I do get some interference from the motor, especially at higher speeds, my trim comes down by itself gradually, so going so slow I can use it with the motor up and it will gradually get in the way. I have fashioned an extension, about 8 inches out of aluminum flat stock but hav...

Re: A 49 ft. X 15 ft. heavy duty tarp/boat cover - for $65.00??

there are 2 major types of billboard material, one light and one heavy, that sounds like what I bought, the heavy one, that stuff is great. I bought some virgin material, white on both sides, been out in the elements all year, and no issues with it, we get heavy wind out here once in a while. The wi...

starcrafts are hard to find out here to start, nice ones are harder.
atwater village is in LA, so Castaic lake may be his home lake, where I tend to go.
atwater, ca is in central cal.

It will be happy out here.
