i guess you're proposing a vertical arm placed between the logs, with transducer at the end... it would have to be significantly below water level, because the front of the boat does rise a bit while moving forward, especially at speed. without careful planning, loading/unloading from trailer could ...

left side repaired in 1988 - before days of mesh right side and umbilical repaired 8/2017, with mesh, but open procedures... tons of pain for about 10 days, then back to normalish activity best advice: borrow a 'lift chair' from someone... one of those recliners that raise you up to almost standing ...

nothing like smoke coming from the area, to help diagnose the problem!

i guess it wasn't the fluid level in your key switch, after all!


glad all is well, and glad the price was good... sometimes smoke from a motor can be a tad more expensive
