Controller Install Problems-Help!

I need some input...please! Bought a new controller and cables for my 75hp 2003 Mercury OB. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/TFQAAOSwfvlbyuds/s-l1600.jpg The installation directions refer to several different configurations for different motor types - see chart (I hope you can read it)... I don't know...

Re: Let the fun begin!

Excellent - Thanks yall! In another thread, we were discussing this also. I copied this from that thread. Maybe it will give a little food for thought: ******** I just did mine 2 weeks ago, fortunately without problems. Here's the list: * Used a medium nap roller with an extension. Takes a moment f...

The adhesive doesnt have enough body to it and will seep out/in and leave low spots. Just too runny

definitely after! At least for carpet I did. I would think flooring is the same. Once you have it rolled then trim it up... then I put tape over the edges all around to keep them down while glue dried.

Re: Let the fun begin!

Question about the process of gluing down the flooring... Do you cut the flooring before gluing it down or after? If before Im worried about it not lining up properly. In order to overcome that Im thinking I should C clamp it in place (using 2x4s to protect the flooring) on the opposite end from wh...

Re: Voyager rebuild

Two weeks ago. Still in rebuild mode. Ivory with Beige and Tan. Tan vinyl.
We offset the "tan" colors with blue fencing and blue biminis.

Found a problem when we opened her up. Time for a new steering cable.
Ouch! I went through the same problem - mine blew out! Fortunately you are down to the frame. It will be much easier to replace.

Re: Plywood for deck boat

Ah! It does NOT include joint compound.
Deck screws to put down plywood, adhesive frame taping for under-sealing where plywood seams meet, flooring, adhesive, bolts to put fence rails back in place.

Sorry to have led you astray! :|

Re: Let the fun begin!

That is really nice. I am fixing to work on my steering, I am not sure adding plywood behind it is going to be possible because of the way the area for the steering is made it doesn't look like I can thru bolt in plywood because there may not be enough plywood around bolt to support bolt and nut. I...

Re: Plywood for deck boat

I just finished mine in the last several weeks. I used 3/4 marine grade from Lowe's. Ordered the vinyl flooring kit from PontoonStuff. Comes with everything but the plywood to get all the way to having your fence back on. Rent you a 100# floor roller to roll out the vinyl. Cost me $11 for a day. Wor...

Re: Voyager rebuild

@ bansil - the 3D shop I contacted can run it in ABS or PC (I assume poly carb) The price they quoted for the printing itself seems relatively reasonable but the 3D modeling set up fee makes it a pretty expensive option. ($250 setup, $60 - $150 ea to print) Ouch! $250 for set up. I guess that's som...

Re: Let the fun begin!

Just didn't know what fun was until I started wire looming the new harness. Hoping to get it in soon. Finally got the console pieces put in. Only thing missing is the back-ordered burl wood steering wheel. Really happy with the look. The upper left wood panel turned out well. Solves the OCD and bala...
