New to the forum and new to the Pontoon too. WE bought a 18' Bass Tracker with a 40 Mercury 4 stroke Big Foot. We have a cabin near Cowan Lake in southern Ohio, with a 9.9 limit. I looked for a boat with a 9.9 but couldn't find a nice one, so I settled for the 40 and we've been using a trolling motor on our lake. Well the electric is too slow for anything except fishing so I am adding a kicker. A Mercury 9.9 4 stroke. I am making the mount out of some scrap aluminum and a Garelick motor mount. I'll try to attach some pictures to a future post if anyone is interested.
I am looking forward to reading about your boats and getting answers to my questions as they come up

welcome to the group... and as far as any questions you may have, ask away... there's a ton of pontoon knowledge on this forum and I feel sure you will get help with anything you need.

Welcome TeddyBob! I guess the plus side of a 9.9 HP limit lake, is that you won't have massive cabin cruisers ripping by at 40 MPH trying to flip your toon.

I guess if I was from KY, they'd call me BobChuck...

We hail from KY and honest to God, hired an excavating guy named JimBob Dick. Did a great job but I suspect I'll recall his name forever. I love KY!
