New to the forum. Hi all-

#1 Post by kyle01 » Wed May 27, 2009 1:31 pm

Just jumped on here since I have a few nagging questions... didn't realize there even WAS a pontoon forum!

A little background-
My family has owned a vacation home in northern wisconsin for the last 28 years. we've always had boats, but purchased my first pontoon at the end of last year. i've got a 20' misty harbor with a 50hp honda 4 stroker. it's good for 20mph with 4 of us on it... but that's not the point... this thing lives to cruise! before putting it in the water this year, i installed some things that should really make this summer awesome.

1) dual battery setup w/ dual battery switch (1/2/all) and isolator.

2) 1600w ac inverter (my wife likes her margaritas blended)

3) wheeled cooler that magically snaps in between the rear furniture and mid-door (very exciting)

4) last, but not least- the stock 200w clarion stereo sounded great. but it sounds positively amazing now that i've added 1600 watts (a 1200w 2ch and 400w 2ch) and 4 10" subwoofers
(2 built-into the boat, 2 in a removable box) i had to play around with crossover settings and added some tweeters to bring out the high end, but man was it worth the work!

so that explains my dual batteries...

cheers-

Hello Kyle and WELCOME

Bought a 1500 watt inverter a few months back for the boat, should be able to run the blender very well.
Lots of good info and tips here.
