Decided to buy a pontoon boat. Research leads me to a tri toon. Question: Generally speaking, can you estimate top speed of a 2008-2012 model with a 150 horse motor? Maybe 3-4 people and a tank of fuel scenario. Not looking to ski behind it but like to be able to pull a teenager on a wake board maybe. Really looking for a boat that can get in the mid 30 mph range minimum. Possible?

If the toon is 25' or less, it should do it. And incidentally, 30 mph IS fast enough to ski behind, even slalom.

You might want to make sure the tritoon has lifting strakes, too. It's getting the nosecones out of the water that turns a displacement hull into one that performs so well. I wouldn't have a tritoon without the strakes.

Most tritoons with 150 hp and lifting strakes are running the high 30's or 40 mph.
