Greetings! I am currently rehabbing a 1993 24' Playbouy. I grew up with a pontoon boat and in the past few years have started a family. Since 2004 my primary interest and hobby was motorcycles, I did a lot of riding, went a lot of places, toured, raced, did a bunch of trackdays, and rode a lot of dual sports when I lived in East Tennessee. Decided to get out of bikes and get a pontoon boat in order to take on a more family oriented hobby. Bought an older 24' last year and have no regrets on giving up bikes. After I bought one pontoon last summer I came across another a sweet heart deal on the Playbouy and snatched it up. I took it out of the water and am making a few renovations and setting it up the way I want it. I'll take some pictures this weekend and start a thread in the restoration forum if anyone is interested. I'm running a 115 HP Mercury 4 stroke that I've been really impressed with. Great motor, great fuel economy, and it's quiet. I do a lot of catfish and bass fishing and want to get into rock fish soon as well. Also take out family and friends at least one or two days of the weekend and have a meal on the boat.

Current projects underway:
-built livewell out of 154 qt. cooler.
-removed sink and sink console.
-removed, rebuilt, and recovered steering console.
-entire boat will be reupholstered a little bit at a time over the summer.
-adding a Motorguide foot control trolling motor.
-added 32" light bar and 2 LED spotlights mounted at 15 degree angles to assist in finding jugs and seeing limblines at night.
-adding a couple of 12V power points.
-added auxillary garden hose connection to livewell plumbing, won't be very high pressure but can be used to help clean things up a bit.
-Designing a roof rack from 2" PVC.

welcome to the forum... I'm one of your southerly neighbors, in central georgia...

we have the foot pedal and wireless controller for the trolling motor.... the wireless is great to have, on the pontoon, so you can walk around while maneuvering the boat.

I also recommend a remote controlled trolling motor. 80 pound thrust works for my 20 footer.
