Hello from Michigan

#1 Post by Team Bristow » Fri Apr 22, 2016 10:52 am

New to the site, just sold our 2012 jet boat and purchased a loaded 2016 Aqua Patio 220SL tritoon. We trailer all over the state but spend most of our time "up-north". Note: that is not my trailer in the photo, we bought a bunk style that has not arrived yet.

Cheers,

Love to hear your thoughts on the aqua patio!
A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say 'How to Build a Boat

@nucleuscracker

We only had a few minutes to test drive it so far and it is not in the driveway yet, but we were thoroughly impressed before buying. We spent a lot of time at the boat shows and at various dealers in the area. Going into the search we really believed that we would end up with a Bennington and by the time we were ready to make a deal we had it narrowed down to either them or Aqua Patio. The two dealers in our area are just down the road from one another so we visited both the same afternoon. For the $ it was not much of a competition in our view. We liked the AP better in every way. The layout of the 220SL is offered by a few different manufacturers but everyone except AP had dual captains chairs which was a negative for us. The AP has a small couch in that spot which was perfect for us and probably tipped the scales more than anything else. We also really liked the swim platform, ski tow system, the extra large bimini and several other smaller items. Let me know if you have any questions and I will send you pics or answer as best I can. I should have it in the next couple of days, just waiting on the trailer to arrive.

Good Luck selling the jet boat. The market is small but it is out there. We sold ours pretty quick but I priced it to be gone so I am sure that it helped.

Cheers!
