Hello from Arkansas!

#1 Post by tritooner » Wed May 18, 2016 5:20 pm

Hello there,
I am a new member from Maumelle, AR. Boat mostly in Lake Ouachita but sometimes venture to Greers Ferry and one of my favorite lakes Table Rock.

Been boating for a while and last year I acquired my first tritoon.

I am a big Hillary supporter so I'm sure I'll fit right in.

Wait wait wait wait, don't ban me yet, I was just kidding!!!! Not a liberal and even less Hillary supporter!!! I like Hillary like I like my cats... flat on the side of the road :lol3

My boating history is:
2000 - 2001 (2000) Larson 186lxi Volvo 4.3
2007-2008 (1997) VIP Valiant 19' 5.0 Merc.
2008 (1997) Larson 186 Lxi Volvo 4.3
2011 - 2012 (1998) Crownline 225br Volvo 7.4
2013 - 2015 (2002) Sun Tracker Regency 25 with 2007 115 4St Merc.
2015 to present (2014) Sun Tracker Regency 254xp3 with 2007 Merc Verado 275 and Simonized computer.

Reason for having so many boats for a short period of time is that back then, I couldn't really afford keeping a boat but love boating so much we would buy one and sell at the end of the season. Since 2013 we have been fortunate enough to be able to keep our boats all paid off and no need to sell. The first Regency was our intro into pontoons and we love them. Now we're thrilled with the tritoon.

I bought both toons with bad motors and put on my choice of motor. The 2002 Regency had a 150 Optimax with a blown block and I bought a used 115 4 stroke. Loved it and would give us 21mph no matter what config. Tried different props, no people, full of people and it liked to go 21.

The 2014 tritoon had a 2014 200 4cyl verado and it had low compression in one cylinder. I am getting it remanned and will sell once completely fixed. I bought a 2007 275 verado to use on it and I'm amazed how well it performs. I took it out for the first time last weekend and was able to get 46mph at 6200 RPMs with 3 people on board. Prop is a Enertia 15p. It was too cold to take pics but will do this weekend.

Glad to be a part of this group!
