2013 Premier Cast-A-Way Changeroon/Porta Potty Room

#1 Post by Cabin#1 » Mon Jun 20, 2016 8:34 pm

HELP...
We are looking at purchasing a 213 Cast-A-Way with the portside change room. My wife and I are of the age that we NEED to use a porta potty occasionally when we are out fishing. We have found an incredible deal on a 2013 and want comments of what everyone else has to say about the size, etc of the change room. There seems to be NO room to store the porta-potty within the bottom of the enclosure as how it is designed. What do other 2013 owners use, or do to make things work. Should we pass up the great deal, and buy a 2014 or 2015, or just what to do??? NEED Help on this one bad , as the deal on the 213 is just incredible, and we hate to pass it up, but we need an easy to use washroom too.. What to do ??

I've owned both a 2013 and a 2014 castaway. (Long story) Unless you've got a custom configuration, or an unusually large Porta potty. The enclosure folds down but is hollow and provides storage inside.

All the pics I have seen have the Flip-Up Change room right by the port side door. They don't look very del at all. The 2014 Enclosures are at the back of the boat and flip up with lots of room. Still don't know what to do. Others must own same 2013 Cast-A-Ways. What does everyone do ???

The 2013 I had put the enclosure at the stern with lots of room just as you are describing. Hmm. Have you seen the boat in person?

I found a couple of videos of 2013 Cast a Ways and it appears they utilized a couple of different changing rooms probably based on length. On the 221 it does appear that though it would definitely cover ones ass while utilizing the unit one would need to accept the fact that the porta-potty will haft to accepted as an exposed piece of furniture on the boat. It's not really a huge deal unless a person is unwilling to accept or compromise on the issue.

Thank You Bamby
The configuration on the 221 with the room in the front is exactly what is in the pics I saw I even looked again to make sure it is a 231 and the year was 2013. They must have had a couple different floor plans. At worst, The Porta-Potty will just have to be a piece of furniture. Thank you very much
