Hello! again...been a long time

#1 Post by bug73 » Sat Jul 16, 2016 6:55 pm

Hello there pontoon boaters! Well its been years since I logged on and I'm glad to see the form is still going strong! Ive since moved to a different part of Michigan, sold the pontoon (gasp!) and aquired a sailboat that my kids and I spend a lot of time on in the summer as a livaboard on Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. I see a lot of nice pontoon boats out there. Anyhow thought I would check in and say hi :nana

Not dead...yet. Who knows about tomorrow. Pict attached as link. Tried to attach directly but it was huge file.

9 hp Yamaha on the back for manuvering in/out of the marina or when the wind isnt blowing and I feel like burning gas money. Just replaced all the wiring this year with upgrades to LED lighting, and new circuit panel. Solar panels and bimini top are in the plans for next year. She's not new, fast or sleek but has all the basic comforts you need for at least a week of days and nights out on the water. Tow a double kayak behind so I can anchor out for free near the parks and still be able to go ashore and explore them. We always have a lake view, swimming and fishing from the deck, access to the beach, no camping fees (and able to camp in some places where land camping is not allowed), no parking fees or loud neighbors, if I do decide I dont like the neighbors I just pull anchor and move with no cancelation fee.

You know the difference between a sailboat and a power boat?

The power boat knows where its going, the sailboat knows where its been. LOL
