Hello from MO
Hello from Mo!
Just purchased my first pontoon boat this afternoon in central MO. This is actually my first motor boat that I've owned. The pontoon is a 24' Playcraft with a 90 hp Honda 4 stroke motor. We are really excited about the boat and plan on taking it out on the lake tomorrow. The forecast is going to be HOT HOT HOT so it will be nice to pull into a shaded cove and swim.
We're live near Raymore, MO which is just south of Kansas City 45 or so minutes. I enjoy hunting, fishing, swimming and spending time at the lake. I'm excited to have the opportunity to learn about the pontoon and other Do It Yourself ideas that people have done to their boat. My first upgrade to the boat will be a ski tower so we can pull the girls on the tube.

Re: Hello from MO
Thanks Roland!
We had a great time at the lake this afternoon. I would like to upgrade our current trailer (center lift) to a trailer with better stability. When I purchased the pontoon the motor ran great however it ran OK for awhile on the lake then when ever I applied the throttle the motor would die. I'm doing some research hoping it just needs a tune-up and the carbs cleaned.

Hello Craig and Paula!
We are from Raymore, MO. I've been going to Lake Miola for years in Paola, KS; I grew up near Louisburg. We could not believe all the boat traffic at Miola today! It's great to hear from someone near home!

Nothing fancy to look at but will be adding some accessories. Looking for a seat with a live well.

Re: Hello from MO
Thanks for the welcome everyone! It's been a busy weekend as we purchased a new trailer and painted the fence to match the truck.
