Hi from Spring Hill fl, north of Tampa
I bought a travel trailer about 6 weeks ago. After camping twice, Hubby is so bored he won't go anymore. And I had liked camping because I could use a blow up Kayak and fish. Oh, duh! He promised me he would love a pontoon. So we bought one . It's 20 feet and a 2007. It's in very very nice shape. Friday we go for a test drive. I'm so nervous!

Welcome to the forum. Tell hubby yo get a full camper encloser for it and you have the best of both worlds. His boat, your camper

Congrats!
We ran a Hurricane 248 GS for over 10 years before going "back" to a pontoon.

I thought of pontoons. However, hubs doesn't want to go out, parents won't go out, so it's just me and 2 fishing poles and a tool box of fake bait. I will be buying shrimp. Fishing alone is great, but a tie-up party would be nice too.

Shrimp work very well!
I use the pontoon to go offshore to spearfish for grouper, and use an airboat to run the back country to fish for Reds.
Once the water temp gets up a bit; the back country fishing won't be too good until things cool down again in the fall.
During the summer, you'll find plenty of folks to "tie up" with about halfway out the Hernando Beach channel; they literally gather up there by the hundreds.
I've never found the allure in that, myself.
