New Guy from Olathe, KS

#1 Post by hvymtl939 » Wed Jan 04, 2017 2:57 pm

Hey there! My name is Andrew and I actually just picked up my first pontoon last week! It's a mid 80s (not totally sure on year yet, need to run the registration) PlayBuoy Yachtsman. It's not pretty, but the deck is solid, and the toons hold pressure. We will be doing a full restoration/rebuild, and will hopefully have it ready to go for Memorial Day weekend.

Here she is with my Dad and Son.

The lady and I went through that full thread last night! Cool to see some local people on here. We're just southwest of Santa Fe and K7, over by Olathe Lake. Do you ever go out to Hillsdale, or is Truman always your spot?

Always Truman. We have 3 lots, 2 camping trailers, 3 four wheelers and couple of sheds. Add that to my bro's stuff and we could start our own resort! Maybe you can come down sometime. It's 90 minutes from 119th and Antioch driveway to driveway.

Well that's a not a bad drive at all! I've been to LOTO, Tablerock, and I think Stockton a long time ago when I was a kid, but that's the extent of my MO boating.

haha, we used to target shoot in your back yard, or at least off the bridge at 119 and Antioch. But, that was 50 years ago. I think it would be frowned on now!

We Love Truman, Might be a little dirty sometimes but, the most boats I have had in my site at one time on Truman is less than 15!

Labor Day weekend 330 in the afternoon. 2 boats!

I don't think they LET you live in Olathe unless you shoot guns at your house. LOL.
