Hello fellow Tooners

#1 Post by SouthernKomfort » Wed Apr 05, 2017 5:56 am

Hi, just joined after lurking for a year or so. Bought a 2016 Qwest LS Tritoon W/115 Yamaha last year to appease my wife who didn't like our fishing boat and I have been pleasantly surprised with the year of ownership. I love the SPACE! I am in North Central Florida and enjoy the Gulf and nearby lakes, rivers with our boat. Anyways, great web site and I hope I can contribute some of my limited knowledge of toons in the years to follow. Good day!

Nice, She wouldn't let you buy a fishing model? Doesn't matter still good fishing area stern and bow.

Welcome........I understand the pontoon in lieu of the fishing boat but I would loose the wife if she wouldn't let me get a fishing model! Notice I said "wouldn't let me get" That's from years of doing what I am told! ;)

The boat is really nice even though it isn't a fishing model.

Hmm... A "Fishing Model"? That's like our saying about the number of people on our boat. Our Data Plate says "13 People".

The Admiral and I agree that the only time we would come CLOSE to that many people is if we happen to be rescuing the Norwegian Women's Beach Volleyball Team. :) Or just maybe taking them for a spin around the lake and plying them with alcohol... She's a keeper that way!

Does it ever get warm enough in Norway for volleyball? Sounds good though.

What a wonderful Pontoon. So smart of you to let your wife think she talked you into a more comfortable, multi-purpose boat. Enjoy

Thanks for the comments, I can actually fish off this thing pretty comfortably. The tow bar makes a great leaning post. My main concern is hooking a seat with a wild cast or fish guts on upholstery (FGOU) :) . My best bud has a 25ft Grady White for the Grouper hunting days. I take him and his wife scalloping on my floating living room, he takes me 30 miles out for the real fish. Its all good.

Nice looking boat. Mine isn't a fishing model either, although my son and I do pretty good fishing while my wife comfortably takes in the rays... gotta keep everyone happy.

Damn, is that docked in your backyard? That looks Beautiful & peaceful.... I gotta move to Florida!!

Looks like a great boat! I really like the picture of it docked. I'm new to the forum and pontooning myself, but looking forward to the summer ahead once summer arrives in Michigan. Enjoy all the extra boat time Florida affords to you.
