And now I own a pontoon, and Hello

#1 Post by luckydogs » Sat Mar 02, 2019 8:23 am

Having owned power and center console boats all my life, the last boat was a Formula 280 ss, but life and location required me to go a different way, last year I used my boat about 6 times my excuses are some because of weather and obligations would come-up, having ben raised on the water it was killing me not going out more often.
And now I own a pontoon, I’ve been on a pontoon just 2 times in my life I’m not sure how to take it LOL, living in central Fl there are lakes all around me and I can be at a boat ramp in 10 min’s and enjoying boating or do you call it tooning LOL way way more often.

Welcome to pontooning and welcome to the forums! LOTS of great information available here. Don't see the answer? Ask the question.

Enjoy!

Luckydogs... first welcome to the forum and congrats on getting yourself a toon... Pontoon boats can offer the best of both worlds, depending on how you spend your money. You want performance, there's a toon out there with a 300 on the back end... you want to just take leisurely cruises and enjoy the evening with a group of friends and family, there's a toon built for that... and they're just so darn comfortable... congrats again and when you get a chance post some pics of your new rig.

We took it out for 1st time yesterday to break-in new engine, the wife was at the helm the entire time she kept on saying that she loves our new pontoon I don’t think I’ll be able to take the helm from her, so the wife is happy, as for me it was fun I have to admit I really had a good time, I can see the benefit’s in a pontoon, man there’s a lot of room to walkaround I think I got my daily exercise walking back and forth LOL
