my wife and i are in the market for a pontoon boat and forums such as these are a great place for advice and information. we've owned a couple of bowriders in the past but were getting tired of riding around the lake with our hair on fire - figured it was time to slow down and enjoy life a little more. the 'toon will primarily be used on lake livingston in east texas though probably not on the "main" body of the lake. i'm looking for something in the 18' - 20' range, primarily for fishing, maybe a little tubing. there will be lots of questions to follow.......

thanks for having me.

Welcome sounds like a good plan, you will enjoy the pontoon and staying on the small side of the lake a 18 or 20 will do you well, if you can find a tri toon even better.

Welcome, I think a smaller boat is just fine! I have a 21' and I have had 8-10 people fit easy...

Welcome. I myself am a new pontoon owner, and I'm loving every minute of it that I can get her out on the water. I just wish I was done w/ my Kitchen remodel, so I could be on the water more. :prayer
