Congratulations on the new rig... I see we both live in Louisiana.. My wife and I are up here in the northwest part of the state, just north of Shreveport. Welcome to the group.

welcome to the forum fellow Party Barge owner. I too have a 21' and it's been a partial project. I have learned much here and good old reading online also.

OMG! GONZALES LOOEASYANA!

I spent a year there one month way back in 1973! The only thing there was a cheap motel made up of boxcars and a truck stop with a billboard that claimed “Jambalaya Capitol of the World!”

I was only 24 and a lady trucker seduced me in broad daylight on her truck seat with the doors wide open and cars flying by on the Airline Hiway and I didn’t care!

What a place. Flew pipeline patrol for Mobil “Sibone” thru the Atchaflaya in junk airplanes and survived all that... based in the woods on a grass runway right there in Gonzales. I was stranded there for a whole month while I waited for a replacement pilot. Whew!
