2001 party cruiser 135 optimax

#1 Post by trent » Mon Jan 11, 2010 4:06 pm

Hello I just purchased this boat used.
It is pretty clean but, very basic. Looking for some
Ideas to trick it out. any suggestions...tv? fish finder? Skinning it? add a slide
what do you think. ALso what kind of comfortable cruising speed will it reach,
and what kind of range...it has a 20 gallon tank, and I will be on Lake Powell mostly

maybe a generator which should provide all the comforts of home, heat, ac and dish for the tv......add some cold beer and women, that should do it for you.

Lake Powell is mighty big for a 20 gallon tank. You might see about adding some fuel capacity if you want to do a lot of cruising. If you just motor out a little way and anchor for the day 20 gallon should do you well.

I have an '06 Party cruiser with a 135 hp I/O Mercruiser. Expect a top speed of around 18 mph, cruise 13-15. I bought ours brand new and added a fridge, microwave, Fish/depthfinder, GPS, Honda EU2000i generator and a ton of beads, the most important thing to have on board. :rofl :rofl :rofl

As far as I know all Party Cruisers have 30 gallon tanks...i'd recommend bigger than the 20. Flat screen TV would be nice but with all the adult entertainment going on our boat it wouldn't be used very much. :drink2 :drink :drool :rofl :rofl :rofl

here is a picture of it.

Those all sound like good ideas...... Not sure what kind of adult entertainment, and Beads you were refering to. A bit naive here in utah, but ac, heat, and beer all sound like great ideas. ( badmoon rising ) you might have to send pictures

So what kind of fuel comsumption per hour of cruising can I expect at say 7 to 10 mph
