HI Guys,
Just found this site. Bought a small lake house in the southern Catskills. Just seeing what's available in a Toon.
Ponder 148 Electric looks sweet but mucho $$. No used ones that I can find. Small lake so that size is just right for tooning.

Newly registered Though I've been a lurker for awhile reading.
I recently got a 1986 Waco Aloha fish/party 18' with a '87 Nissan 30hp.
It's set up mostly for shorter rides and fishing. The motor runs great and I've been installing some "creature comforts". Rod holder, some Scotty mounts for rods being used, a ice cooler live well.
Has been pretty good on the gas so far too.
I think perhaps next year or two I may have to put on some new decking.
I also put on a rear hand pulled anchor 10lb.. The front has an electric 15 lb dig-achor. They seem to do what I need for now.
I'm also trying to set it up to do some camping on the 'toon at night after a long day of fishing. I removed the front part of my playpen. ( it was just in the way anyways) That really opened up the boat and makes it much easier for me to get around, especially when I"m by myself.
I would also like to strip off the peeling decals and clean up the side walls that remain.

You've got a nice lookin' older fishin' 'toon. Where do you live and fish at? Plenty of room to get around and camp on the boat. Happy fishing and welcome to the site. Plenty of useful info around here!

Thanks. I usually fish the local rivers.. three around here. sometimes I cruise Lake Murray. Still haven't managed to go camping on it since it's gotten cooler.

Hi ya'll!
I'm a newbie to the forum and to being a toon owner.
We live in the almighty Pacific Northwest so we are surrounded by plentiful rivers, lakes and the Puget Sound.
We are really looking forward to the rain stopping and the sun starting so we can take our new toy for a spin! Brought our 2014 Lowe SS210 (115hp merc) home on Valentines Day ♥ how special right? Yeah it's rained everyday... we were lucky for a 1/2 hour dry patch that day to get the play pen on.
Look forward to sharing fun times and hearing all about yours!
Cheers!

Happy Tooning!

Well we took the maiden voyage this weekend in the 40° cloudy rainy day. Hope that explains why I look like a pirate or a bandit.

We were only out for about 1.5 hours but it was amazing. We didnt expect it to be so different from our 19.5 runabout. my hubby is partially disabled so boarding etc. was greatly improved!

Thank You for the warm welcome!

Hello Everyone
Joined the site last fall when we started thinking about a pontoon.
Yesterday we made the jump... 13 Misty Harbor, Tri-toon, 150 Merc, 4stroke
Now we can't wait for the ice to melt after a record setting winter here in NW Ohio.
