newbie saying Hi

#1 Post by ylojelo » Thu Feb 04, 2010 7:49 am

New to the idea of pontoon boats, but after renting one this summer, we are looking to buy one this spring. I'm new to boating (my wife on the other hand knows quite a bit) although we do have a pair of Seadoos , a pair of sunfish, a pair of kayaks and a pair of canoes. It will be mainly for family cruising on Smith Mountain Lake (VA) with some fishing and wake boarding as well, and about 22'.

That is what our first thought was also. We had looked at the Bennington back in Nov. Then Jumped around a bit but I had some circumstances that sort of pushed me to one dealer. Then, they sort of put a hard sell on me and told me that if I waited till the boat show my price given would be higher. Part of my problem was having a 2009 trade in. Lots of dealers do not want to add that to the floor plan unless they can get it dirt cheap.
We may still go to the boat show just for something to do.. Bill
