Thanks....

I'm not here sell.... you won't see me pushing my agenda.... I have always tried to contribute some part of the lifetime of experiences I have had both good and bad in the marine industry to any forum I have been a memeber of. To be honest, I didn't sell my first pontoon boat until 2006.... but The Harris Chain of Lakes and the Central Florida area are probably one of the top 10 pontoon popularity areas in the country. It didn't take me long to figure that out ..... and we strive every day to be creative with our ideas to enhance what pontoons are. I'm not claiming to be an expert.... but what I have learned in life is to do things right the first time where possible, and when a mistake is made to not make it twice. To that degree, my son is doing the Fiesta twin engine project.... kudos to him for taking on a project like that and if it wasn't for him.... I wouldn't have known that this site exists. I've been to Pontoostuff.com... they have an agenda.... works for them but not for me.....

It certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings if someone came to me for a new boat.... that's a no brainer. More importantly, after 40 plus years in the business I think I'm qualified to help other less experienced boaters as they attempt to enjoy their time on the water. Too often, Consumers are short changed in the boat buying/owning experience..... and I always will take the approach of helping.... the satisfaction gained by doing so far exceeds the monetary gains.... and I have found that even in dire economic downturns that the marine industry has encountered in the last 40 yrs, it has kept the food on the table.

Hopefully, these thoughts ease anyone's minds as to my purpose of being here... 8) 8) 8)

Best regards... Mike

Speaking of the recent downturn. It may be good for owner and dealers. I know around this area, most of the not so honest dealer are out of business, which is a blessing to consumers and other dealers. The fact you are holding your own in this downturn is an endorsement in itself for you.
