Okay...I'll try.... but really, couldn't you just google a pic?...just kidding. We really like this rig. We sold our 23ft Caravelle Interceptor because I couldn't stand the thought of beaching it, and half the time that's what the kids wanted to do. They like to hit the islands almost more than tubing which is okay with me. More down time for me :biggrin2

So is it what they call teachers cove? Goat Island is at Pettit Bay. Have you seen the new babies there? 2 look to be a couple weeks old.

Hello fellow Okie! This is a great site and lots of insight to the world of potooning...if that's a word? Well, in Oklahoma, just about anything can become a word i suppose!

Yeah us okies can make a word outa two or three words together...lol.
Teacher Cove is the place and we usually spend the evenings on Goat Island. Those goats are funny, they won't even pay attention until you rattle a bag or start waving food around. They got it figured out.
We spent Sat and Sun out there starting at Teacher cove for a swim and then tubing on down to chicken creek and back to Goat Island for supper, builda fire, roast hotdogs and smores till dark. It's becoming a tradition. Bout the time the kids get tired of riding they're ready to crash on the island fishing and supper.

We had some excitement Sat night just after sundown. Coming back from the island and rounding the corner to Sizemore I'd pretty much bet we caught some air! All of a sudden all the kids kinda floated in the air and the ice chest was about a foot off the floor! not once but twice! I stayed in the throttle realizing what had happened, but my first thought was don't let off and do the submarine thing...lol WOW... the girls were squeelin and boys were hoopin and hollerin... that was crazy!. After we cleared the wake I spotted a BIG cruizer pulling into Barnicle Bills way ahead of us. Definitely not something I'da done if I'd seen it coming. Would love to have had a picture of it.
Yesterday was ROUGH below Cookson we came back upsteam and it was nice.

We got some of those big cruiser wakes Sat night as party cove was emptying it's trash. We saw where some boat litterer dumped their garbage in the lake. Near Cookson Bluff. Had to be at least 3 dozen beer cans, cups, papers etc, nasty bastards coming in and trashing our lake.

By the way do you know Mike and Sue Maxey? They hang there along with Jim and Julie Smith. Mike and Sue are our neighbors.
