This weekend I was pontooning around the lake in our 3 year old new pontoon boat with a Mercury motor and it quit. It started no problems and I eased out onto the lake then I throttled up and it quit. Didn't stall just quit like I cut the switch. I checked the prop it was fine. I had plenty of gas. I think it was the wiring because at the start of the season my CD player quit playing. Was playing cut it off to talk awahile switched it on and it would come on but no music through the speakers. After awhile it wouldn't come on. Any suggestions?
Of course this was the weekend we had a 6 month old on board, 3 year old and 5 year old.
When throttling up acted like switch turned off wiring? gas?
