New from Tennessee

#1 Post by devdwt » Wed Jul 28, 2010 5:54 am

Just getting back into boating after a 20 year hiatus. We had a ski boat and the in-laws had a pontoon years ago and we enjoyed it, so we decided to go that route.

Found out quickly that nice, used pontoons are hard to find here in East TN and was about ready to bite the bullet and get a new one. Finally found a 2005 Bennington 2275LX with a Yamaha 90 4 stroke with 145 hrs. This boat is like new! The owner had always kept it covered and it even included an extra brand new playpen cover.

Had it out the past two weekends and we are back in love with boating! Looking forward to some dialog here on this forum! :biggrin2

Welcome, I am fairly new here as well. You will find this a great resource to bounce things off of people. Bring on the pictures of the boat. It is not too hard to do. Do a search on the topic and there are plenty of instructions. The main "catch" is to be sure to shrink them down to like 600x800 pixels before you upload them.
Sunrises, Sunsets, God and Country, Family and Friends enjoyed on my 2009 25' Voyager Fish and Cruise Dlx w/ Honda 225 (Top speed 42MPH light, from a 150-225 and added lifting strakes)

Will do, I use photobucket for my forum pics. It seems to be the easiest(for me).

Thanks! I live between Maryville and Lenoir City. It's about 5 minutes from my house to Tellico or Fort Loudon Lake, about 20 minutes to Melton Hill or Watts Bar Lake.

Welcome to the club... good group of people here, think you'll enjoy the forum. Sounds like you got a basically "new" 5 year old boat... don't tease... how bout some pics.... My son has the same boat you have only in a 2007 model with a 115 on the back.. He loves it... we have a benny as well, but opted for one a little smaller as it is usually no more than 4 to 6 people at a time out on our boat, and very often just me and momma out fishing. anyway, you're gonna love that benny.. congrats on the new rig!!!!
