time on the lake

#1 Post by killerkernrich » Tue May 01, 2012 10:09 pm

spent some nice days on Lake Isabella, CA in April. Got a few pounds of Crappie in the freezer, along with some nice trout, and couple of cats.
Iwas up there for 28 days, snowed, rained, high winds some days I didn't take the toon out. But retirement is great.

while I was up there , they were good days and no bite days for me.
I think mid may will be great and I will be back up there after Mothers day. Out of the 28 days I was camped up there there was 8 days that I didn't fish due to wind or rain. The guys I talked to that live up there say that if you get 4 good hours a day on ave before the wind blows you off the lake. The lake level did come up 5 foot while I was there.

I know that area well. Born and raised, I just moved from there. Up north to Roseville area.
