Well since BMR and many other posted their historic winner swimmers, I've just got to include one we caught from the beach at Boliver on Sept. 13, 1986. I'm the guy on the right holding up most of the 185# Rough-backed Ray! Twenty two years ago! Wow! It took 4 hours to land the thing while we were shark fishing. We took it on live Sand trout. Where is the voting??? HaHaHa......

Sorry I must have missed this question, he was 11 ft 8 inches long weighted about 650 pounds .

I get to keep some of the meat the hides belong to the trapper we work for part time and nothing goes to waste the better food scraps go into dog food as it's low fat and the rest bones and all are ground down in to fertilizer

I'm 6 ft 2inch and laying even with the end of his tail

I wish we had better pictures of the 13 foot 10 inch gator we caught in a 10 foot boat, we laid him on top of the boat we were using as a ramp to get him in the truck and he was hanging off both sides, his body was wider than the boat and was 4 four foot longer.

Should have seen how white my brothers face got when that beast finely surfaced, he said we don't have a big enough boat, I said to late to worry about that now, handed him the bang stick, he hit it in the head, the 357 round didn't go off, gator slapped a 3 foot dent in the boat, how we stayed in it, I don't know.

But it swam four foot away, turned back toward the boat picking up speed, thank God I was ready for him, and waiting for the turn, then slowed him down with 2 rounds of 22 behind the eyes, then 4 shots with the 357 bang stick ended the battle to get him, took us four hours to get him and get him loaded, 800 pounds is hard for 2 guys to handle.

But it is one of the fishing story's that has been told a few times, here a picture of my brother with the Head, he is 6'2" 200 pounds, does he make the head seem small

Here's a picture of my truck in December of 06 after having it four days, so much for the new truck smell :rofl

We finally launched for the first trip of the year last night. Came home with this lil thing. State record is 29" 13.16 lbs. Mine is 27.5" and 7.5 lbs. That 13 pounder must have looked like a basketball.
