Hi Guys, got into bows about two years ago and a pse stinger for my first compound bow.I think it's a great bow for the money but have decided to try something different just to see what it's like to shoot a bow with a longer ata length.I bought a slightly used 2011 vendetta xl at about half price of a new one and I'm waiting for it to arrive.I like to do target shooting in my backyard,it's therapeutic, but would like to do some deer and hog hunting. What kind of bows and poundage are guys shooting ? I know guys like to show off their bows so post pics ! I'll post my stinger tomorrow and the Vendetta when I get it .

I currently use a 2009 Mathews Drenalin 320 FPS set at 70#. In late deer season (after christmas) if its cold out, I use a TenPoint Titan TL7 Crossbow.

Ill post pics when I get a chance

Currently a Bear truth. I want to upgrade but I'm gonna wait till the technology reaches 1 pin to 40 yard. Then ill wait a year an buy a used one. Last I heard pse had them to 35 so they are close. But its crazy how all bows doubled in cost to buy new since 05... I used to buy new next will be used.

Yeah,I had to ask myself why a bow should cost so much and why say pse vendetta cost about twice what a stinger cost.More accessories and maybe a better materials in a few places but I can't see double the price.Anyway I ordered new strings,60x since they were well spoke of at Archerytalk and I'm waiting on them.

If you look at my "Weekender" post in camping/fishing you will see I plan to spend some time on the water,I also have a 17' alumcraft for short trips.I'm thinking of setting up a bow for fishing, used to do it some as a teen and it's lots of fun.

Nice deer,I haven't shot anything but a target so far, honing my skills.i'm going to set myself up a fishing bow, have my eye on a 2010 PSE Spyder w/ ni cam 60 lb. it's short,light,inexspensive[$199 tyd].Here's a pic of my pse stinger,my first compound bow, this is a great bow for the money. If you want to up grade later it's a great bow for your son or grandson provide they can pull at least 50 lbs of draw weight.I have a 2011 PSE Vendetta XL sitting in the garage waiting for a string set, haven't shot it yet but it got rave reviews.

I've always been a rifle/shotgun hunter, but wanted to get into bow hunting and fishing. On the Chesapeake, we can legally bow hunt stingrays and lots of guys are bow hunting snakeheads ans common carp. Looks like a blast.
