Do any of yall have any input on the 2 Lews reels? Im wanting to buy a couple new reels cause the ones I have now are pretty old (and cheap). I just don't have very much casting distance with my 15 year old diawa. I talked to 2 different folks who sell these reels locally and they both told me the only differance is one has more chrome than the other.

I was told Lew's logo and products were purchased from Lew's family and beginning to make new equipment. I always was a fan of Lew's rods and reels years ago when I was an avid Bass fisher. I saw some new reels at a local outdoor expo here and they looked and felt like good equipment.

I think the number of ball bearings in one of the most important factors in a reel.

BBCboards.net is the Bass Fisherman website. They are the ones to give opinions on fishing equipment--and just about every subject. On many nights, there will be 500+ people tuned into that website.

I'm more of a boater than a fisherman, and know a net nothing about bass fishing.
