at the lake

#1 Post by killerkernrich » Fri Sep 20, 2013 10:18 am

I went camping an fishing at Lake Isabella, CA
had a great time....had a few first's.
One was a big plane landed on the lake to suckup water for a fire about 25 miles down river it went right by me crised up to the main dam, turned around at got to speed to do a take off right over me....WAY COOL.
one eve near 5pm I heard a big commotion out side, when I looked there was cop cars & CHP'S,& forest service, about 3/8 to 1/2 mile was 4 kids (teens +) swimming to catch a jet ski that got away from a girl...
I got my shoes on and ran to my toon and was untieing it when to cops came an ask me to help them get the kids as they was never going to catch the jetski to windy, only the girl had a life vest on ...
we got to them and got them on my toon the lake patrol showed up an got the jet ski.
the jet ski did not have a 2013 lake permit or a CA sticker the last one on it was 2011.
All was ok but shook up an very cold....
I got a "ATTABOY" from the cops.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Several times a year I help people that are dead in the water... usually kids on jetskis that sucked up weeds.

...and every time I tell them "No need to thank me... but next time you see somebody just help them because it might be my kids"

I pulled a sailboat off ground the other day. besides being happy to " help" a wind driven captain. I was making pay it forward for the times I have been helped.
