Whats your July 4th plans?

#1 Post by Toontroller » Thu Jun 08, 2006 6:08 am

Back to the State Park for us. June 29 - July 4

Saturday the first will Probly anchor out and watch the big Fireworks show at Harbormaster Marina and watch the Game Wardens go from party boat to party boat looking for drunks.

The plan is to kick back, Relax, Fish, Eat, Relax, Fish, Eat, Relax, Fish, Eat.

Sorry!! Actually been working more at work:). I plan on staying at the house for Independence Day. If we continue to get rain, I may go buy a few firecrackers and show little Fishin'billy how gun powder and alcohol make a good mix. :P

I went to reply eariler and couldn't find it, but I'm supposed to go to our family reunion, but I wondering if I'm going to make it, would get me out of a lot of work as I on set up crew, selling fireworks to pay for our show and make a little for the reunion and I on the firework crew to shoot them too.

Hell we haven't killed any one in years

I always have a fireworks party at my house on the 4th. Maybe 30 people or so family and friends. I LOVE FIREWORKS! Show gets bigger and bigger every year. Now my brothers company has gotten into the fireworks business, just went today to check things out. They got in 16 skids full already with another truck due in tomorrow. Hopefully they can make me a sweet deal.

We usually have 2 guys with propane torches lighting and 3 guys setting things up for them. Show last about an hour.

Herb no one has died at ours either but I'll show you a picture of a small casuality.

We lost a little hair, holes burnt in our clothes, had a mortor of two not go as high as it was supposed, one only went about 10 feet off the ground, that got people hugging the ground, and in the early days before we started screwing the mortors down, we had one or two fall over at the wrong time.

But we do slam it hard for about 30 minutes and we even get money sent down by neighbors so we can keep the show going

This is what happens when you drink alittle to much, find one last mortar shell and don't have any tubes left. We decided why not try a old shopvac tube. Bad idea. Really not sure why but mortar blew up on the ground with my neighbor holding the tube. That was his leg. I found parts of that shopvac tube all over the yard. Be safe everyone!

That was actually just a large bruise. He had on jeans that night and kept saying it felt like he was bleeding. Of course we all just said he was being a pussy. :) Didn't know it was that bad until the next day.

Don't let him play with Fireworks no more. He has to stay away and watch from the sidelines.

4th plans ? ? ? Do we really have to go to the inlaws instead of the river camp?? What would be a good excuse not to go to the inlaws?

We plan to be anchored on Lake Grapevine watching the fireworks and raising a toast to the Stars and Bars.

"New Years" at the lake. I wish it was warm enough here to boat on New Years. :boohoo

Chesapeake Inn's new years party has bikini women though, maybe we'll do that. :loveboobs
