First weekend with the camper!

#1 Post by Snider4 » Mon Jul 13, 2009 6:34 pm

Well it's a long story, but because the dealer did not know what he was talking about with the Jayco we bought a 2004 Coleman Fleetwood Bayside from a different dealer. Picked it up Friday and was in the campground with the toon by 6pm that evening. We had a great time with the camper and toon, it rained Saturday afternoon for about 2 hours and I found out the pop up is a great place to nap in the rain! Of course we left with out the camera, but I took a couple of pics with my Blackberry. The Sport Trak pulled the camper just fine, it was my wifes first time towing anything and she did good. Thanks for the info guys,,

we recently sold our 33 foot camper, the wife won't tow, plus we only have one tow vehicle, her Mustang isn't rated at much :tofunny ... We really liked camping but one trip for the camper and another for the toon was just too much.

It look like a lot of fun. Wish, I could take a trailer/camper to my lot. The neighbors got to be real snobs since the Ritz was built. Pretty much have to stay in a hotel if I want to stay overnight now. We use to tent camp back in the 80's when I had my bow rider. I know what you guys are talking about having your wife tow. Mine towed the toon once or twice and she did okay, but wasn't happy either since I had one too many six packs. Anyway enjoy the pop up, I am sure you will
