Our biggest one was 13 foot 8 and we didn't strech them like there were doing in this picture. the one that beat us for state record was hung for hours to strech out.

Everyone that see both of them said our would have ate that guy for dinner.

That does appear to be a nice one Herb. What is the real deal about gators anyway? On swamp-man they set out bait and it seems they kill everyone they manage to see and have an endless amount of tags to fill. Fact is in a recent episode a couple of swampers took on another 100 tags meaning they could or needed to kill a hundred more or they would suffer some sort of penalty for failing to kill them. Some of the gators they're killing can't be more than three feet hell I'd throw them back myself, they'd haft to more valuable next year when they'd grown some.

And what is the real value to them, I know the meat and hide are worth some bigger should be more but the show ain't speaking none about the real money in them at all.

The hide is where the money is, and the money been done on hides the last 2 years, the trapper we hunt under called a few weeks ago and wanted to know if we wanted to hunt.

But we know we end up some where we would have to work our ass off to get gator's as he lets someone else come get the easy one first.

As a matter of a fact the last time we went we followed his son and we showed him up, we got 22 in 2 days one a 11 foot 8, so his son was asleep or didn't have to worry about making the money like we did.
