This is the Zippel Bay Ice Igloo!

It is located on Lake of the Woods about an hour from me.
I visited once last year and was blown away by the ambience.
It is likely that I will be sledding there with some friends on Sunday.
We plan to spend our five dollars for 'beer and bait' :drink4
Also five more per hour for 'hole and rod'!
Probably watch the ProBowl there, fish inside in comfort,
aaaand get a little pershnokered :smoke

Sorry, these shots are not mine and not so good.
I intend to bring a camera this time.
Here's a little write up of the joint:

That looks pretty cool...pun intended. There is a ice hotel in Iceland that I wanted to go to when I lived there, but never got around to it.

Reminds me of the time I was working in December at Jamestown, North Dakota and I locked the keys in my rental car @ -33 degrees. Luckily, the only locksmith for 75 miles was just across the street working. I was on my way in 10 minutes.

You know, they only have cell phones in North Dakota along the interstate highways? Where I was, houses were 25 miles apart.
Unless the farmers had cattle, they were cooling their heels in Florida for the Winter. I say cash in about 1000 acres of farmland, buy a foreclosure and move to Florida about 9 months out of the year.

Ahhh Baudette MN - on Beautiful Lake of the woods. I'm just on the opposite end of the lake, but the Canadian side.
