At 60 bucks plus 35 for guests is a lot I think, I wouldn't mind even a small get together on that chain.

If Lake and his better half had made it down this far and had the time, I would have taken them up there.

I haven't been yet, but my boat has many times and knows the way to The Hurricanes Bar

I think the guests for $35 is only if they want to get in on the poker hands for prizes and will include a lunch... otherwise I believe they can just get lunch at the final stop on there own.

BTW - We were out there last Saturday and stopped at Hurricanes for lunch 12 people. After waiting over an hour and 15 mins we asked to see a manager about what was going on. Seems our waitress really dropped the ball on our orders. We finally got some of the food we ordered and a few items that were incorrect after an hour and 45 mins. At that point our waitress started arguing with us about what each person had ordered and then the manager stepped up and comped the entire meal. I've never seen such horrible service. Previous trips have proven the food is good, but this last trip was a disaster.

Looks like it will be a good time. Beautiful area, fantastic boating. But.... a lot of water to cover in 3 - 4 hours in a pontoon at 15 mph cruising, maybe 24 WOT. Doesn't leave much time to refuel aka revive at the way points which are all well worth tying up at. Not being a member of the high HP club we very well could make port at the Crazy Gator to late to play. Never participated in a poker run before. Always thought they were for the Donzi/Fountain boys. Sounds interesting but I wouldn't want to be welcomed like Al Sharpton stumbling into a Klan meeting. What do you think?

I think you would be surprised at all the different types of boats. I was up there last weekend and they were placing flyers on all the vehicles at the boat ramp that I launched at in Mt. Dora inviting everyone.

Its not but a few miles by water between all these locations so I don't think you would have a hard time making it in 4 hours.

Here's a video I found from one of their last runs; shows a lot of different boats.

I'm rolling that day or the a few of us from the club are, we are going to be rolling stars for fireworks, might not sound like fun, but you have to learn to do it to build shells that fill the sky
