photonfanatic wrote:Nice. How did you get ahold of factory blems? And how much were they? I scrolled through, but I admit I didn't read the entire thread. There is an aluminum welding and fab shop in my area. Normally they do big rig trailers, but they'll pretty much do whatever you take to them. It would be interesting to know their price on something like that.

I don't think he deals blems any more, but I will contact the guy. If he stills has a hand in it, I'll have him get in touch with you.
Welding might be nice. All my hand-work was brazing, but two years of hard use and not a single crack. Pretty amazing stuff once a guy figures it out.

Long time, guys. Al went thru a metamorphis (yet again). It is now Toons and Tunes on Rainy Lake. This post sort of stolen from Facebook:

First Mobile Ambush ever! Set up 2 electric/acoustics, bass, drums and mics for all. PA a bit touchy but survivable. Played Party Cove, then a cabin dock, then a fishing bay...sort of got sound worked out. Stayed mostly dry. Got lots of curious drive-bys from a number of boaters. Quick BBQ, then hit IslandView Lodge. Not sure if Ron and Trella were around but we just pulled up like we owned the joint (now THAT'S a true Ambush). Didn't even leave the boat. After a few songs, things were still kinda quiet. Started to wonder if we were even being enjoyed.....and then BAM!!! DOCK PARTY.
Dancing girls and drunken guys. Bunches of 'em. It don't get any better.
This could get to be a thing :guitar
My link isn't working, but search up and like AMBUSH JAM on FB in order to keep up with the antics.

Maybe I need to rename it Al The MOBILE Mirthmaker

Sounds like a good time to me anyway, too bad you're so far away. Anyway who wants to go to Rainy Lake....

Some new footage from the Jam Boat. 1st of July by water for Canadian Fireworks. We played for about 50 boats before going to shore and warming up for a land-lubber band. My LED's are getting interesting (3 separate systems in this clip)

Great to see so many people that I know (and be greeted by a few). Life has been.... challenging. Still trying to shake the rust off before catching you all up. Soon. 8)
